Scholarship of Teaching and Learning

The Faculty Center hosted the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), an initiative to study and assess teaching practices and their outcomes on student learning. UCF Sociology professor Elizabeth Grauerholz gave a plenary address to faculty interested in publishing their SoTL findings in pedagogy journals, and a panel of UCF professors currently conducting SoTL studies provided further insight into various methods and approaches. Those in attendance viewed over twenty posters by UCF faculty detailing their SoTL research ideas, data, and results. Through this and similar SoTL events throughout the year, faculty at UCF are embracing the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning as a research discipline.
